Redden Farms

High-altitude lavender, grown in the mountains of Park City, Utah.

Three acres at seven thousand feet

Redden Farms sits high in the Wasatch Range, where the growing season is short and the winters are unforgiving. We wouldn't have it any other way.

At this elevation, lavender doesn't just grow — it adapts. Harsh mountain conditions concentrate the essential oils. The fragrance is deeper, the color more vivid, the plant itself more resilient. It's terroir in the truest sense: the mountain shapes the lavender, and the lavender is better for it.

We farm organically, working with the mountain soil rather than against it. No shortcuts. Utah winters forge stronger plants, and stronger plants produce something you can actually smell from across the field.

Lavender growing in mountain fields

Mountain-grown, season-driven

High-altitude lavender develops higher concentrations of essential oils than lowland varieties. The science is simple — stress produces intensity. Our lavender works harder, and you can tell.

Emerge

April – May

Spring arrives late at 7,000 feet. After months of dormancy beneath the snow, the lavender breaks through — slowly at first, then all at once.

Bloom

July – August

Peak season. Three acres of purple against the Wasatch skyline. The essential oil content is at its highest, and the fields are alive.

Harvest

Late August

Cut by hand at the right moment. Dried slowly in mountain air. The result is lavender with a fragrance that doesn't fade.
